About Daily Health London

Daily Health London is an independent digital publication covering how health services are organised, funded and delivered across London. We follow the decisions, data and day-to-day pressures that shape care in the capital – from busy emergency departments and general practice to community, mental health and public health services.

Our aim is simple: to provide clear, neutral coverage that helps readers understand what is happening in their local system without spin or jargon. We do not lobby for any organisation or political party and we do not publish sponsored “news” articles disguised as editorial content.

London Health News Desk

All articles are produced and edited by the London Health News Desk, our in-house editorial team focused on health services in London. The desk tracks official statistics, regulator reports, inspection findings, board papers and public briefings, alongside credible research and professional commentary.

Rather than simply repeating press releases, we read the source material and explain what it means for patients, staff and local communities. When we draw on information from other outlets or organisations, we attribute and link to the original sources so readers can see the context for themselves.

What we cover

Our coverage includes access to care, performance and waiting times, workforce and staffing, estates and infrastructure, quality and safety concerns, financial pressures, and changes to the way services are organised across different boroughs. We are particularly interested in how national policy decisions play out on the ground in London and where there are notable differences between areas or providers.

From time to time we also publish explainers and guides to help readers make sense of complex terms and processes – for example how performance targets are measured, how funding flows through the system, or how local decision-making structures fit together.

How we work

We aim to be accurate, fair and transparent. Figures cited in our pieces are checked against original documents wherever possible, and we avoid speculative claims about individual clinicians or patients. If we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and note that a correction has been made.

Advertising, if present on the site, is kept clearly separate from editorial content. Commercial relationships do not influence which topics we cover or how our articles are written.

Who we write for

Our readership includes clinicians, managers, commissioners, local decision-makers, journalists and members of the public who want a clearer picture of how health services are performing in London. We try to write in plain English so that articles are accessible to non-specialists while still being useful to people working inside the system.

If you have suggestions, corrections or ideas for topics we should explore, we would be pleased to hear from you.
